A new photo from Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s chooda ceremony has found its way to the internet.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone got married at the scenic Lake Como, Italy, and their wedding was no less than a fairytale. Though the couple ensured that no pictures were leaked from the functions, they shared two photos of their wedding on their instagram accounts after the celebrations, which left their fans teary-eyed.
Needless to say, they looked gorgeous and resplendent in their stunning outfits.
Gradually, photos are trickling in, and we can see that every ceremony was on par with royalty. A photo from the chooda ceremony, which was held before the wedding, has found its way to the net.
Ranveer being Ranveer, is wearing a pair of sneakers with a heavily embroidered Sabyasachi outfit. Deepika is wearing a matching salwar-suit.
The couple posted two photos from their two weddings. Their first wedding was a Konkani-style ceremony, with Deepika dressed in a red and gold Sabyasachi saree and Ranveer in white.
In less than an hour, Deepika’s Instagram post got more than 2 million likes, while Ranveer’s post got 1.5 million likes in the same time.
For their second wedding, the Sindhi ceremony too, both the bride and groom were dressed in Sabyasachi creations, the fashion designer wrote on Instagram.
Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in the picturesque Italian town of Lake Como, at the Villa del Balbianello.
Amid heavy security and no-photos rule, the couple made sure that they had a wedding to remember.
Deepika and Ranveer began dating during the shoot of Ram-Leela. Their six-year relationship culminated in a wedding over the past two days.
The couple gave Lake Como a taste of desi weddings, as baaraatis were dancing to 90s chartbusters on boats on Day 2 and Shubha Mudgal performed for the guests while Deepika walked to the mandap on Day 1.
Deepika and Ranveer will return to India on November 18 and will host two reception parties. On November 21, the Padukones have a grand bash planned at The Leela in Bengaluru and on November 28, the Singhs will host a reception party at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai.
