Abhilash Thapaliyal is very happy and excited because he got to go to the Cannes film festival. He didn’t just walk on the fancy red carpet, but he was also in a film called Kennedy. The film got a really long applause that lasted for 7 minutes in the special Midnight Screenings section. The actor went to Cannes with the director Anurag Kashyap and co-stars Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat. Abhilash remembers his first meeting with director Anurag Kashyap, who was busy making the movie Dobaara. Afterwards, he got a surprising phone call from Kashyap. How SK Sir almost led to him being typecast
Abhilash thinks about his journey after playing a significant role in a TV show called Aspirants as SK Sir. After that, he started his own mini-series named SK Sir ki Class, and then he got many offers to write scripts for similar shows because his show was successful. This discovery helped him escape the dullness of being a supporting character in funny parts and show off his talents for serious acting.
Abhilash is thankful for the qualities of SK Sir because they helped him get chances to work on films and series like Blurr, Faadu – A Love Story, Maidaan, and Shehar Lakhot. Abhilash believes that both luck and his own hard work have led to the opportunities he has been given.
