Magon, an alumnus of the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), showcased his acting prowess in various films, including “Chupke Chupke,” “Khushboo,” “Muqaddar Ka Sikandar,” and “Shahenshah.” His last on-screen appearance was in the 1997 film “Uff! Yeh Mohabbat.”
Beyond his acting career, Magon also ran the Harish Magon Acting Institute located in Mumbai’s Juhu area, where he shared his expertise and nurtured aspiring actors.
Film historian Pavan Jha took to Twitter to pay tribute to Harish Magon, sharing a video clip from the 1975 film “Aandhi” and highlighting Magon’s endearing cameo roles in Hindi cinema. Jha mentioned Magon’s friendship with Gulzar’s assistant Meraj, which allowed him the opportunity to face the camera in a song sequence from “Aandhi.”
