Crunchyroll has announced that it will be streaming the highly anticipated television anime adaptation of Haro Aso and Kotaro Takata’s manga, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead. The simulcast will begin on July 9 at 5:00 a.m. EDT and will be available in various regions, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Indian subcontinent.

Fans can enjoy the series in Japanese with subtitles in English, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Hindi, Russian, and Arabic. Additionally, Crunchyroll will provide dubbed versions in English, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Hindi, with dub release dates to be announced later.
The anime is set to premiere in Japan on July 9 and has been licensed by Viz Media for North America, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand. It is a co-production between Viz Media, Shogakukan, and Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions Japan. In the United States, the anime will also be available on Hulu and Netflix starting from July 9 at 5:00 a.m. EDT.
Star Cast of Zom 100:
The main cast of the anime includes Shūichirō Umeda as Akira Tendo, Tomori Kusunoki as Shizuka Mikazuki, Makoto Furukawa as Kenichiro Ryuzaki, and Minami Takahashi as Beatrix Amerhauser.
Directed by Kazuki Kawagoe at studio BUG FILMS, with Hanako Ueda serving as the assistant director, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead features Hiroshi Seko as the series script supervisor, Kii Tanaka as the character designer, and Junpei Fukuchi as the zombie designer. The music is composed by Makoto Miyazaki, with Maiko Gōda in charge of “music selection” and dugout handling sound production. The anime is produced by Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions Co., Ltd. The opening theme song, “Song of the Dead,” is performed by KANA-BOON, while the ending theme song, “Happiness of the Dead,” is performed by Shiyui.
Viz Media has already licensed the manga, which tells the story of Akira Tendo, who decides to live for himself after a zombie apocalypse wreaks havoc on his town. With a bucket list in hand, he embarks on a mission to complete all 100 items before it’s too late. The manga debuted in Shogakukan’s Sunday GX magazine in October 2018 and has been nominated for an Eisner award.
Moreover, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead will also be adapted into a live-action film set to premiere on Netflix worldwide in 2023. Aso’s Alice in Borderland manga has previously been adapted into a live-action series that debuted on Netflix in 2021, with the second season released in 2022.
