The Kerala Story Review and Box Office Collection Day 1. The Kerala Story caused a lot of problems when it was released. Adah Sharma’s movie caused disagreement on the internet when it came out on May 5th. The movie did pretty well on its first day at the box office, especially when compared to other recent Bollywood films.
The Kerala Story Movie Review
This story is about young Hindu women in Kerala who are said to have become Muslim and then forced to join ISIS. People are worried that this might be radicalization. The movie is based on the real-life experiences of three young girls from different areas of Kerala.
‘The Kerala Story’ starts with Shalini (played by Adah Sharma) talking about her terrible past and why she is in trouble. Her story is about four people who went to a school to become nurses in Kasargauda, Kerala. Shalini is telling the story. She is close friends with her roommates Gitanjali, Nimah, and Asifa. Asifa wants to share her Muslim beliefs with her roommates without them knowing. She gets help from her male friends to make girls become radical and follow a religion by giving them medicine that make them hallucinate. After Shalini gets pregnant, she has to marry someone else and travels a long way to Syria through Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Adah Sharma acted really well as Shalini, who later changed her name to Fatima. She made us feel strong emotions. She worked hard to speak with a Malayali accent and you can see it on screen. The actors Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani are new, but they did a great job bringing their stories to life. The movie made by Director Sudipto Sen is about a difficult and sensitive topic. The way he made the movie is not easy to watch because there are many uncomfortable scenes and dialogues.
The director made parts of the movie that make people feel uncomfortable. When talking about things that are private, it can be difficult to find the right way to do it. But Sudipto seems to do it well. Prasantanu Mohaptra did a really good job of taking pictures of Afghanistan and the areas near the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. But, the music in the movie could be better. It’s too strong and takes away from the story.
The parts in the movie where the girls are at the hostel are good, but there are some boring parts too. One of those is when Asifa tries to make Shalini have extreme ideas. During the very upsetting part where someone is being raped in the ISIS slave camp, it’s necessary to be careful.
It tries really hard to prove its point and this might make people from different groups feel uncomfortable. After watching ‘The Kerala Story,’ you may have some questions about how things are going in the country right now. This movie makes you think and is upsetting, and it will definitely stay with you.
