Kizazi Moto: In commemoration of Africa Day, Disney+ has revealed that the highly anticipated animated collection “Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire” will have its exclusive premiere on Wednesday, July 5th, only on Disney+. To mark this occasion, the key art for the 10-part series has also been unveiled, showcasing an original illustration by Shofela Coker, the talented Nigerian artist and director behind the acclaimed short film “Moremi.”
With contributions from visionary creators representing Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, and Zimbabwe, “Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire” promises a thrilling journey into Africa’s future, offering unprecedented portrayals of the continent.
This action-packed animated anthology draws inspiration from Africa’s rich tapestry of histories and cultures, presenting 10 captivating sci-fi and fantasy stories set in bold and imaginative worlds of advanced technology, extraterrestrial life, mythical spirits, and awe-inspiring monsters.
Inspired by Africa’s diverse histories and cultures, #KizaziMoto: Generation Fire, an Original anthology of short films, will premiere July 5.

Featuring a stellar international cast, “Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire” includes the voices of acclaimed actors such as Florence Kasumba (“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”), Kehinde Bankole (“Blood Sisters”), Pearl Thusi (“Queen Sono”), Hakeem Kae-Kazim (“Hotel Rwanda,” “Godzilla vs. Kong”), Sheila Munyiva (“Rafiki”), Stycie Waweru (“Supa Modo,” “Supa Sema”), Candice Modiselle (“Generations: The Legacy”), Lillian Dube (“Soul City”), Clementine Mosimane (“Poppie Nongena”), and Mandisa Nduna (“Blood Psalms”).
