Richa Chadha Cannes Journey as a Producer: A Comical Twist as Her Masaan Still Graces the Event ID Instead of a Picture. Renowned actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal made their presence felt at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, not as performers, but as producers for various collaborative projects. Richa delighted her fans by sharing updates of their French Riviera adventure on her Instagram Stories. However, a comical mishap occurred when Richa discovered that her festival ID card featured a still from her 2015 film, Masaan.
Richa Chadha Cannes Journey as a Producer:
In an amusing post, Richa Chadha shared a picture of her ID card and humorously remarked, “My first Cannes as a producer, but they still had my Masaan photo saved. LOL!” She also reposted a snapshot taken by a film critic who crossed paths with the couple in Cannes. The image showcased Richa and Ali, both dressed in elegant black attire. While Richa opted for a simple black overcoat, Ali stood out in a quirky black suit.
According to media reports, Richa and Ali are actively seeking partnerships to expand their creative ventures. Among their projects are Shuchi Talati’s debut feature, Girls Will Be Girls, a ‘subversive’ animated film or show titled Doggy Stylz, and another undisclosed venture. Girls Will Be Girls is a coming-of-age film, whereas Doggy Stylz, currently in development, promises an amusing narrative where dogs take charge.
Work Front of Actors:
Bollywood Actress Richa Chadha has previously graced the Cannes Film Festival with her acclaimed films Masaan, co-starring Vicky Kaushal, and Anurag Kashyap‘s Gangs of Wasseypur. Her upcoming endeavors include Ainaa, a socially-driven co-production between India and the UK, where she will share the screen with British star William Moseley. Directed by first-time filmmaker Markus Meedt, Ainaa explores the consequences of war-induced on individuals and society as a whole. The project was officially launched at the prestigious House of Lords. Additionally, Richa has exciting projects like Fukrey 3 and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series Heeramandi in the pipeline.
Meanwhile, Ali Fazal recently graced the premiere of Fast X in Rome, where he joined Vin Diesel on the red carpet. Although not a cast member, Ali’s presence added a touch of glamour to the event. He later flew to London to attend Richa’s film launch before the couple embarked on their Cannes journey.
