There will be bloodshed and more in Lionsgate’s new action movie ‘SISU’. An unapologetic tale about vengeance in the final days of World War II, the film is slated to release in theaters on April 28, 2023. Here are some glimpse of some intense action of Sisu, watching the movie Hindi trailer below:
SISU movie premiere at Toronto International Film Festival:
The film had earlier held its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. After receiving strong reviews, it was picked up for theatrical release by Lionsgate. The studio sees great potential in the film after receiving a rare perfect rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes following its world premiere. As the trailer suggests, SISU is in store for the viewers with bloody carnage ahead, and the result seems to be satisfying to those who have seen it so far.
“SISU was screened as a TIFF Midnight Madness selection, and it was so exciting to experience it as audiences went crazy for it,” Ada Cowan, EVP of acquisitions for Lionsgate, said in a statement. And critics agree – 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s a symphony of outrageous, awe-inspiring action and genuine crowd-pleasers. We’re confident it will connect with a wide audience.
Cast of Sisu:
The lead role is Jorma Tommila, the rogue Nazi-killed prophet Atmi Korpi. Tommila will once again star alongside her real-life son, Oni Tomila, who also starred in Rare Exports and Big Game. It seems quite clear that the seasoned father and son pairing has become a good luck charm in Helander’s filmography.
The rest of the cast is rounded out by Axel Hennie (The Martian), Paul Anderson (Peaky Blinders), Jack Doolan (The Boys) and Mimosa Vilmo (Aurora). Lionsgate presents the film in association with Stage 6 Films, a Subzero Film Entertainment Production and Good Chaos. Jalmari Helander wrote and directed Sisu. Written by Petri Jokiranta and executive produced by Mike Goodridge, Gregory Ovanhon and Antonio Salas. It stars Jorma Tomila, Axel Heini, Jack Doolan, Mimosa Vilmo and Oni Tomila.
The movie will release in theaters on April 28, 2023.
