The Song Of Scorpions screening: Babil Khan, along with some other stars, came to celebrate the magic of Irrfan Khan one last time on the big screen at a special screening, where he was acknowledged with a framed image of his late father, IrrfanKhan.
The screening of Irrfan’s swan song, The Song of Scorpions, was held in Mumbai on Thursday. It stars Irrfan, Golshifteh Farahani and Waheeda Rehman.
Many actors attended the screening.
Irrfan’s son and actor Babil Khan was among those present at the screening of The Song of Scorpions. He has been actively promoting the film on social media since a few days.
Actor Ravie Dubey attended the screening of the movie in Mumbai.
Actor Deepak Tijori of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar fame also attended the screening.
Actress Divyanka Tripathi and husband Vivek Dahiya were also seen at the screening.
Plot of The Film:
The film is a tragic love story in which Irrfan plays the role of a camel trader. The movie revolves around Nooran (played by Golshifteh Farahani) who saves lives of those bitten by a scorpio by singing a special song for them. She falls in love with Irrfan’s Aadam. Waheeda Rehman plays Zubeidaa, the grandmother of Golshifteh Farahani’s Nooran in The Song of Scorpions.
Irrfan plays the lead in movie touted to be a heart-wrenching tale of love, obsession and betrayal. It had its world premiere at the 70th Locarno Film Festival in Locarno, Switzerland in 2017.
Star Cast of the film:
Set in the Thar Desert of Jaisalmer, the film stars Irrfan in strong supporting roles alongside Iranian-French actress Golshifteh Farahani, Waheeda Rehman, Shashank Arora and Tilottama Shome. The film is directed by Anup Singh.
