Actor Sunil Shetty’s statement during Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s meeting with film personalities in Mumbai is being discussed everywhere.
Addressing Yogi Adityanath, Sunil Shetty said, “How can this trend that goes on on Twitter be stopped, if you tell the respected Prime Minister, it can make a big difference, sir.”
Sunil Shetty said, “Today if we are suffering, it is not the cost or subsidy, we are suffering from the audience. It is very important to invite the audience to the theatre.”
He further said, “This trend which is going on ‘Boycott Bollywood’ can be stopped by your saying. It is very important to convey to the people that we have done a lot of good work. There is a ‘Rotten Apple’ among us. There is always a place. But you cannot count all of us in it because we are all like this.
“Right now it is in people’s mind that Hindi cinema is not good. We have done good films as well. I have done ‘Border’ and many other good films. This is the perception about us, this hashtag ‘ ‘Boycott Bollywood’ is going on, how can we stop it together? How can this trend on Twitter be stopped?”
