What truly stood out were the borders, featuring various patterns, sizes, and colors, adding an extra touch of delight. The ensemble incorporated a shawl and a dupatta, elevating the overall look. This reminded us of Kriti’s previous iconic look where she donned two sarees designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. In this case, two pieces were artfully combined to create yet another mesmerizing attire.
The unique dupatta with knife pleats showcased the same embroidered motif as the Anarkali, while the shawl, known as the ‘Ayodhya Tales’ shawl, was a masterpiece by Shaza. Hand-embroidered by ten artisans over 6000 working hours, this Kalamkari shawl depicted scenes from the Ramayana, Panchavati, Swayamvar, Ashok Vatika, and Ram Darbaar. The designer reimagined paintings of palaces, clothing, vegetation, birds, and animals, creating a captivating piece of art.
Every intricate detail on the garment was complemented by opulent jewelry from renowned brands like Amrapali, Curio Cottage, Surabhi Didwania’s My Motifs, and Raabta by Rahul. Layers of gold-toned accessories, including circular earrings, a studded choker, a patterned necklace, stylish hand accessories, and rings, added to the majestic allure of the ensemble.
Completing the heavenly look, Aasif Ahmed and Adrian Jacobs created a flawless canvas with hair and makeup. Accentuating her features with black eyeliner, pink lipstick, and defined eyebrows, they styled her hair in a braided plait adorned with a captivating accessory.
Kriti Sanon’s Sukriti and Aakriti Anarkali paired with the story-rich Kalamkari shawl showcased her impeccable fashion sense and appreciation for cultural aesthetics. It was a true reflection of her grace and style, capturing the essence of the occasion.
